Creating a Curated Email Newsletter

With this new feature it’s now easier than ever to create a daily curated newsletter that is automatically delivered to your subscribers. All you have to do is click a button to curate 3-5 stories a day and you now have a simple curated newsletter.

Below I’ll briefly go over how to make this happen but here are the steps at a high level:

  1. Connect your RSS feed to your email software (simple and easy to do, see links below)
  2. Fire up your Listening Engine reading page
  3. Make sure you have the News Page options turned on (see settings link at top right)
  4. When you see a story you want to curate click the News Icon and the story will be added to your custom RSS feed.
  5. Bonus: want to add your own commentary? It’s simple, click on the commentary box and this will be the text that is served to your subscriber instead of the brief summary.
